About

Pushing the boundaries of medical therapy through DNA origami nanofabrication

At capsitec, our mission is to revolutionize medical therapy by developing cutting-edge DNA origami-based solutions for a wide range of health challenges, starting with antiviral therapeutics. Our multidisciplinary team of experts has come together to create a platform that harnesses the power of DNA origami nanofabrication and AI-supported molecular design, ensuring safety, efficacy, and versatility.

Our story

Capsitec was founded in 2021 as a spin-off of Technical University of Munich by a team of leading experts in DNA nano-engineering, biophysics, virology, and business. With the shared goal of transforming medical therapy, our founding members recognized the untapped potential of DNA origami nanofabrication and embarked on a journey to explore its diverse applications, starting with the groundbreaking virus trap.

Our core technology

Capsitec's DNA origami nanofabrication technology enables the creation of highly customizable nanostructures, which can be precisely programmed and adapted to various applications. Combined with AI-supported molecular design, our platform offers unparalleled versatility, opening up new possibilities in antiviral therapeutics, gene delivery, and vaccines.
